International Women's Day 2020
One of the biggest celebrations of women happens on International Women’s Day which is observed on March 8. This global day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women - while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme is #EachforEqual showcasing that it’s on each of us to help create a gender-equal world. The theme reminds us that individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender-equal world.
As the world celebrates this day, the team at iResponze is grateful to work for a company that exemplifies these ideals. iResponze is a women-led company. Our Chief Innovation Officer, Rose Mentrie, has worked in the hospitality industry for over 30 years and has built iResponze from the ground up. At her core, Rose is a visionary and a problem solver, and that drives the direction of our company. She inspires us every day with her endless energy, her fiery spirit, and her love for the hotel industry.
iResponze® was launched by hoteliers for hoteliers to fill a particular need within the industry, and it continues to evolve with services that have emerged from what our customers have asked for. Rose has worked hard to build our company and she emphasizes the value of having a great team. From the front line to the top line, each team member is responsible for leading iResponze and for doing their part in creating a gender-equal world.
In addition, iResponze believes in the importance of having a work-life balance. Many of our associates are women in varying stages of life and we celebrate that diversity. We are a virtual organization that offers employees the flexibility they may need to be stay-at-home moms (or dads), caregivers to aging parents, or those who require flexible schedules for other life needs. iResponze represents gender equality in the best way because the men who work for our company have all of these opportunities as well.
International Women’s Day is a day for everyone to celebrate women’s achievements and continue to push for equality.
